After all, it took a unique sort of person to understand the mathematical humor behind the joke that harry had just used. "Indeed, I was unaware my actions had such a profound effect upon the world. It's not every day you get to fix the universe, even if it is in a small degree." Takeshi replied. "I agree, although the first step to fixing the universe is understanding the parts that are broken to begin with and then formulating a solution based upon the empirical evidence that you can observe through experimentation and mathematical formulation." Harry explained as he took the seat opposite the Officer. His breakfast partner gave a hearty laugh and then offered Harry a hand shake. "Takeshi Katsurou. nice to meet you." he said as Harry grasped his hand and gave it a quick shake. "Harry Doorman." He responded in kind. "What do you like to do when you off duty? >From what I gather the holo suites are pretty popular." Harry nodded. "Of course they are. they offer virtually limitless possibility for mental and physical distraction from the otherwise mundane repetition of shipboard life.  Personally I prefer to use them to experience a good holo-mystery, or for a more romantic setting to spend time with my girlfriend.  But in all fairness, I rarely really ever indulge in such use on a regular basis. I usually just paint or practice playing my trumpet. That is when I'm not reading mathematical theories or working on complex formulas." Harry paused and took a sip of his coffee. "And what about you. What do you do in your spare time? " (reply Katsurou) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, Ten Forward - ATAC Takeshi Katsurou - 0738)  Harry nodded. " Takeshi leaned back in his chair contemplating the irony. One of his friends back home had always insisted that it was the root of all humor. Takeshi had joined Starfleet because he wanted adventure and 'normal' life was incredibly boring to him. He enjoyed his work sometimes he was afraid he would enjoy it too much. But Harry was of the opinion that ship life was mundane repetition. "It's not all bad, it's better than sitting behind a desk filing papers away and not actually getting anything done other than making someone you never knew feel important. The repetition he is orderly repetition that actually gets things done. Although....given your department what you say might be true there." Takeshi smiled warmly, hoping the man would take the joke as it was given and not go a different direction with it. "Well, I don't usually make a habit of doing the same thing when off duty, but I enjoy playing guitar and practicing different forms of close combat. Although I can't stand practicing regularly with a hologram, I much prefer a sparing partner. I also enjoy 3D Chess and a number of other recreational games." "Mathematical formulas? You do your on duty work when your off duty too?" (Reply Harry, any) Christopher Black (USS Hades - Sickbay - CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere - 1012)   Angeni nodded, listening to the woman.  "Losing seven years has been a shock to me as well.  My family thought I had died, so needless to say, the last few weeks have been full of lots of questions, none of which I can really answer.  I'm sorry about you and Jo...I mean Commander Lemar.  I really am." She didn't know what to truly say about George.  Wendy had asked long ago that those files be kept out of normal rotation, and she did as such; Wendy was one to bend the rules if truly needed, but she never broke them.  Angeni on the other hand was good at manipulating the rules and finding the loop-holes so that she could do what was needed.  As far as Angeni cared, Wendy had it under control. (USS Hades - Holodeck 2 - CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere - 1019) Dolphine looked over at the entering duo and smiled.  "Angeni, welcome to hell!" he said as he stepped towards them. Angeni smiled, giving Hawkeye a quick hug.  "Why thank you...what do we have here?" She said as she wandered over to the holo-bio bed, looking at the...crispy critter that laid on it.  "It's the newest cluster from starfleet medical. I thought this time I would call upon someone else to help me evaluate and make changes to the newest surgical conference. Who's your friend?" She watched the exchange between Wendy and Hawk, putting her head in her hands when Hawk acted as if the two never met.  She knew he was utterly brilliant, but when it came to matters outside of medicine, he could leave a lot to be desired. He then turned his attention back to Angeni. "You get a choice, you can listen to the ten minute blabber of the EMH before this scenario starts or we can wing it, how much do you want to suffer before you play?" Hawkeye asked.   "I think I know the general melody, but you may have to catch me up on the new notes." "And I gather that due to the staff meeting Chase isnt coming is he?"       "Pretty much.  I just want to peek my head in here before I wander off there. I would not want to annoy Commander Straton with my lateness now would I?" "Well then, shall we get started?" Hawkeye asked. "By all means," Wendy said, eagerly as she began to look over the situation. "After all the patient doesn't look like he's doing too well." "Please, Hawk, by all means take first chair on this one.  Is it wet dressings or dry dressings today?" (Reply Hawk) "Of course...when with the Burn Association finally make a decision on which one they want.  It's like the great Bicarb debate of the 1990's...first Bicarb cured all, then it didn't, then it did, then it didn't...what are we using now, centuries afterwards...Bicarb!"  Angeni smiled as she picked up a nearby padd, scanning it over.  She glanced at the particulars, furrowing her brow as she handed it to Wendy. "I'm ready to see how they think that is going to work...let's start, shall we?" (Reply Wendy, Hawk) (Posted by Kari) (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, CSO Dale Bracken, 1108) Dale stood, next in line to make her departmental report, She had a PADD in her hand, though knew its contents inside out, and so didn’t refer to it. “Science is at full staffing levels, all new assigned crew is currently undergoing standard ships Ops and Science specific training. Gamma shift reported a very minor Sciences database error; that will be fixed in the next hour, if it hasn’t already been.” She continued, “duty teams are currently engaged in non-critical research, this will obviously change as we get closer to sector 215, and astrometric staff will be supported by assigned personnel from other areas.” (Reply any, none) (posted by Mark) (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, CSEC/CTAC, Lt. Baylon Trinin, 1116) "Lt. Trinin, I would very much like an opportunity to speak with you alone at 1600 hours, and then with your senior officers after that, at 1630 hours.  Is that acceptable?" The new First officer asked. "Of Course Sir." Baylon replied simply. "I'm looking forward to it." The First Officer then went around the room, fundamentally extending similar invitations to the other senior officers present at the meeting. Once that was concluded, Captain Straton once again resumed the initiative for the briefing, although it was to dismiss it and release the majority of the senior officers from the room. Baylon found it intriguing that Bracken had been asked to remain behind, but reminded himself that the reason was really none of his business. He rose and exited the Observation lounge without another thought to the situation.  After all he had preparations to make. (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, CEO Lt. Darla Wright, 1117) Lieutenant Commander Bohb seemed to be a nice enough sentient being. He seemed well mannered and polite, even going so far as to request meetings with members of the senior staff instead of simply dictating terms and times to his preference.  While it wasn't a common occurrence among senior officers, it was most certainly a refreshing change of pace from the captain's normally Spartan demeanor. "Lt. Wright, I hope you won't feel put off if I save our meeting for tomorrow.  Unfortunately, engineering was never my strength, and I would really like to be completely alert and prepared for our meeting.  I would like to come down to main engineering tomorrow morning at 0900 hours.  Is that acceptable for you?" Darla shook her head in response to Bohb's inquiry.  "Not at all sir. In fact, I'd actually prefer it. It gives us a little more time to track down that glitch in the tactical systems I mentioned at the beginning of the briefing." She replied with a smile. She then gave Eion and Valanar a look that should have told them to make finding a solution for that problem a priority. When the briefing was adjourned, Darla exited the lounge rapidly, so that she could get to Engineering as quickly as possible, she had a lot of work to do between now and tomorrow's meeting. (reply none necessary) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Observation Lounge- CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere- 1118)   Angeni stood up to give her department report.   "Everything is running at optimal performance in Sickbay.  Starfleet has sent a new edict down on how to minimize casulties of plasma burns.  Across the board, plasma burns, especially those that cover more than fourty percent of the body surface area on any person, species aside, had a success rate of survival of only seventy-five percent due to the severity in which plasma burns occur on just about everyone.  Doctor's Dolphine, Kildare, O'Neil, and I have been working on the new protocols, so hopefully within the week we can present something to you, Ma'am"   Angeni sat back down as Lt. Comm. Bohb stood up. Angeni had been studying Lieutennant Comm. Bohb from across the table since he had walked in.  Dividing her attention amongst the given reports and the new treatment that was discovered in the holodeck, she had jotted down quick notes, almost general observations about his physical appearance.  She noted respiratory patterns, the tint of exposed skin, all a baseline of general good health from what she could see.  Later, she could use it as a refrence if he came to her with an illness.   "Doctor Trommashere, I am certain that I will not escape this day without some order from medical to have you poke and prod your way through my anatomy, so pehaps I can arrange for your ministrations at 1800 hours, and then we could meet with your staff.  I know that it would be a long shift for you doctor, so I would, of course, provide dinner.  Is that acceptable?"   Angeni nodded, a small smile on her face.  "More than acceptable, sir, but please do not feel as if it is needed.  I do not plan on making you a spectacle in the Bay, just minor tests and samples, but 1800 is fine.  I will be waiting." (Reply Any, none) (Posted by Kari) Mission: The Machinations of Erebos Day: 1 Stardate 2413.11.24 (USS Hades, Astrometrics Lab, SciO Ensign Harry Doorman - 1122) "And then as you'll notice here as the isotope ratios shift to the higher concentration we can observe a distinct shift in the Rosen-Bormann equation from the alpha data set to the Gamma data set, without the transitional move through the beta set, at least not as far as the computer can detect. I think that the reactive mass altered so quickly that the chain reaction cascaded into the gamma range directly from the alpha range. " "but Harry, that doesn't make any sense at all. The transformational sequences have been in place and well documented for nearly a hundred years. How can you stand there and tell me that the transition of PX-1354 isn't consistent with every other magnetar transitional sequence that has ever been recorded?" doctor Solange asked. "Well," Harry said with a slight shrug. "I wish I could tell you I was wrong, Doctor, but the data is conclusive. I've gone over every bit of the math three times. I've even had the computer run the equations and compare the equations with known observed data. The only means that I can explain the transitional skip is through a variant of the B'vel- Sonak transitional barrier laws, whereby the second transition takes place, but at such a rapid interval that it is completed before there is even a chance for it to register on the sensors at all. It is similar in effect to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. You cannot observe the beta transitional state when certain criteria are met, because those very criteria prevent the direct observation of the beta state. We know that the beta state is feasibly only a functional state and that it has only been observed under very uniform conditions and has acted as a buffering intermediate stage between the primary alpha state and the more complex interactions found in the gamma state, but Magnetar PX-1354 proved to be a completely different type of magnetar once the quantum state fluxes began. " "I'd even be willing to put forth the suggestion that PX-1354 may even be a unique or at the very least exceptionally rare classification of magnetar, whose quantum flux state is not uniform with those already observed. It is by its very nature a mathematical anomaly which could in itself signify a completely separate class of stellar body which although initially similar in outward appearance is in fact subject to a behavior and quantum rules of molecular and heavy elemental collapse unlike any other recorded type of magnetar." "Are you suggesting...?" Solange began Harry nodded. "I am doctor. I am suggesting that we have discovered a new classification of rare neutron stars by which a quantum variation exists by which the transitional state of this particular type exhibits a direct transition from the alpha transitional data set parameters directly to the gamma set transition without traversing through the beta transitional data sets as were originally observed by other magnetar stars of similar but not the same stellar types." "We already known that there were several aspects of PX-1354 that do not coincide with any other observed processes or readings recorded by any other type of magnetar ever observed. We have ample evidence to support the theory that PX-1354 is unique in the recorded studies of magnetars . In addition, considering the sheer volume and potential variations of physical conditions, it is far more likely that the aberrations we have observed are statistically more likely to prove a scarcity of this particular type, than locating a systematic error in our scans. Keeping in mind that the sensors were already calibrated for this very mission, I find it extremely unlikely that every single expert in the field that checked those calibrations were wrong." Solange frowned for a moment and then finally acquiesced. "Okay Harry I'm sold. I'll start sifting through the raw data to support the suggestion that PX-1354 is a unique magnetar of a class only just now observed. I'll see to it you receive academic credits as well, of course. " "Thank you doctor that will be sufficient. I'll provide a full listing of the new equations, for the modeling of the magnetar's transitional states for you to include along with the disposition to accompany them." Solange nodded as Harry's commbadge chirped. The scientist held up a finger to his colleague as Doctor Bracken's voice sounded over the small device. =^=Bracken to Doorman, please meet me in my office ASAP.=^= Harry tapped his badge. "Doorman here. Acknowledged sir. On my way now." He tapped the badge a second time and closed the channel. He gave Doctor Solange a smile. "If you'll excuse me doctor we'll have to continue this a little later." "Of course." Eugene replied with a nod. (USS Hades- Observation Lounge - aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 11:23) Bohb nodded his head and gave a gutteral grunt. "Congratulations Lt. Bracken. We will have much to discuss tomorrow then." (reply Bracken) Bohb turned to the captain. "Captain Straton, I will give you an update on my meetings later." He turned by to Braken, "I will see you tomorrow." With that Bohb turned and headed out of the ready room, this time via the bridge. It was time the bridge staff saw what they were in for. (reply Straton, Bracken) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, CO Captain Eva Straton, 1126) "I accept Sir, it will be an honour. I assure Sir that neither role will interfere with each other." Lt. Bracken replied. Eva gave a stern nod indicating she would hold the Lt. to those words. "Congratulations Lt. Bracken. We will have much to discuss tomorrow then," Commander Bohb said. Bohb turned to the captain. "Captain Straton, I will give you an update on my meetings later." He turned by to Bracken, "I will see you tomorrow." "Very good Commander," Eva replied. She watched as the Commander turned and headed toward the Bridge. "I'd better return to the department Sir, with your permission?" Lt. Bracken asked next. Eva pushed a PADD across the table toward Bracken. ""The commander protocols you will need to familiarize yourself with. We will also need to adjust your duty roster so that you will be available to take a command shift on the Bridge," Eva explained, "Once you've read everything over we will arrange another meeting to set everything up. For now, your dismissed." Eva watched as Bracken turned and left the Observation Lounge. She rose and left herself a few minutes later heading to her Ready Room. (Reply Bracken, Bohb, Any) (Posted by Wes) (USS Hades, CSO's Office, SciO Ensign Harry Doorman - 1130) Harry reached the office in short order, since he was very close considering the relative location of the Astrometrics lab. The scientist took a deep breath, more to center himself than to calm any nerves. he then reached out an pressed the door chime. (reply Bracken) Harry stepped in through the open door and stopped before reaching the seats. "reporting as requested doctor Bracken, what can I do for you?" (reply Bracken) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Counselor's Office - aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 11:45) Bohb stepped into the counselor's office and looked around. He smiled when he saw Ensign Ripley. She was a handsome enough woman, but a bit small and frail looking. Bohb had never met a counselor before joining Starfleet. Migillans had little trouble expressing themselves, and discussing, in violent detail, all options, and possible thought processes of others. In the end, there was no diplomatic situation on Magilla prime that couldn't, more effectively, be solved, by beating the opponent to the ground and pounding on their chest until they relinquished their opinion. Of course, he quickly learned that other species do not solve their problems in such a manner, and many even frowned upon it. Still, Bohb enjoyed talking to counsellors. They seemed to listen to him without asking him to stop. He can tell a full story, in Magillan detail, and they won't interrupt, or tell him to finish later as they have to go somewhere. What an excellent job to have, to be a professional listener. "Counselor," he said, "are you ready to eat lunch or would you rather get started with the talking first and then go to lunch later? It really depends on how hungry you are. I am capable of going without for forseveral more hours before I begin to get... cranky, I believe is the term." (reply Ripley) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades, Counseling Offices , COUNS, Ensign Anamitra Ripley, 1147)   Ana had rescheduled an appointment in anticipation of Commander Bohb's arrival. She had never met a Migillan before and so she had spent a few moments bringing herself up to speed, as much as the time would allow her to do so, on their customs and psychology. The door chime to her office sounded and Ana instinctively reached out to clear the monitor as the door slid open. her open door policy was pretty straight forward and guaranteed that anyone who made it far enough to actually seek her out could gain access to the ship's counselor. She was not in the least surprised to see the new First officer standing in the doorway.  "Counselor," he said, "are you ready to eat lunch or would you rather get started with the talking first and then go to lunch later?  It really depends on how hungry you are.  I am capable of going without for for several more hours before I begin to get... cranky, I believe is the term."  Ana gave him a broad smile as she rose from her seat and approached him in a manner that, according to the cultural databases was consistent with greeting between Migillans. "I can wait. I'd much rather talk with you for a while first. It will make for a much more interactive lunch conversation later." She replied. She stopped a very short distance from him and in the traditional Migillan manner, sniffed him- taking in a deep scent of his primitive musky allure. The odor was unique to anything that she had ever encountered and not entirely unpleasant.  It was a primal primitive mix of musk and pheromones, almost animalistic to her mind, although not in a feral manner. She allowed herself to be sniffed as well, well aware that her emotional state could be discerned by the Migillan standing before her. Once the greeting had run its course she took a step away from him and then gestured for him to enter the well-appointed office. "I'm very glad that you've come to visit me commander." She stated formally. "In this office I prefer to remain less formal, but I don't want to be presumptive, so I'd like to know which form address you'd prefer we use today." (reply Bohb) Daniel Greene (USS Hades - Jeffries Tubes, Conduit Junction Rho-Mu - ACEO Ensign Eoin Mac Liam - 13:01) Eoin opened up the control panel for the ODN conduit junction, hoping that he was finally at the right one. Having spent more than an hour crawling through every Jeffries tube from Main Engineering down almost all the way to the Tactical Systems control area, he was not happy to say the least. He dug out his tricorder, and scanned the junction for anything that might be amiss. When he found what he was looking for, he tapped his communicator. "Ensign Mac Liam to Ensign Valanar." (reply Valanar) "Dorren, I've found the fault. Bring a repair kit to Conduit Juncion Rho-Mu. Let's see what we can do." (reply Valanar, any) (posted by Spencer) (USS Hades, Security Offices, CSEC/CTAC, Lt. Baylon Trinin, 1550) Baylon had advised his security staff about the impending meeting with the new first officer to commence promptly at 1630 hours in the security Assembly area. Ensigns T'Sol and Katsurou would be the primary officers involved in the follow-up discussion with the Lieutenant commander Bohb, but just in case, Baylon had the forethought to make certain that the individual security team leaders were also standing by should the First officer wish to meet with them. All was set, although Baylon felt the need to double check that his senior departmental officers were ready should the meeting end earlier. "Trinin to T'Sol and Katsurou." =^= T'Sol here.=^= (reply Katsurou) "Just verifying that you are standing by for the 1630 meeting with the first officer." Baylon inquired. =^= I am standing by. I will be in my officer working on efficiency reports. I have set an alert so that I am not late.=^= T'Sol replied. (reply Katsurou) "Very good. Sorry to be so anxious. Trinin out." Baylon tapped his commbadge a second time to close the channel before leaning back in his chair and taking a deep breath.  ~Relax~ he told himself, ~nothing has changed, you still know how to do this job.~  (reply Bohb, Katsurou) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Security Office - aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 15:58) Bohb hated being too early for a meeting. He knew how it felt to be told to be ready for a meeting at a specific time and then have a superior officer show up ten minutes early, and watch as you scrambled to get everything ready earlier than anticipated, and wind up looking like a completely incompetent buffoon. Still, many humanoid species felt it a sign of disrespect to not be slightly early. Even arriving exactly on time was considered to be inadequate. He grunted to himself as he recanted the universal truth, that time was perceived relatively. He was certain that one minute early was enough to appease any sign of disrespect, and not be too early. As he stepped up to the door to the security offices, it opened and Bohb stepped inside. He looked around to see Lt. Trinan sitting behind his desk. he stepped towards the inner office of the Tactical and Security chief. "Ah, Lt Trinan," he held out his hand in an awkward gesture to shake hands. He was pretty sure Betazoids did not enjoy being sniffed. (reply Trinan) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, CSEC/CTAC, Lt. Baylon Trinin, 1600)   Baylon always kept the door to his individual office locked in the open position whenever he was in attendance and there wasn't a meeting underway there. So it was no surprise when he noticed Commander Bohb as he strode into the combined areas serving as the Hades security Offices. The Migillan was a large being, definitely originating from a simian ancestor, which was clearly demonstrated by his impressive musculature and highly evolved body-form. He had a way about him, one that bespoke of calm authority and the ability to back up his orders with a threat of primal violence. It was, of course, a perfectly acceptable means of resolving conflict on his home world, even if it wasn't permissible within the ranks of Starfleet. Baylon could see how Bohb could intimidate members of the ship's crew if he so chose. in fact, the sheer size of the being, intimidated him in much the same manner that Commander Zzt had when the two had first met, years ago. baylon rose from his desk and moved to where the commander was standing. "Ah, Lt Trinan," The massive being spoke with a voice that completely belayed the massive potential that resided within him for violence. He held his massive black-skinned hand out in a crude attempt to shake Baylon's hand.  Not wishing to insult the new commander, the security chief placed his hand within the giant grasp of his superior officer. "Commander, welcome to the security offices of the Hades.  I'd offer to show you around but I'm afraid that there isn't much to see here. They look like every other security offices on every other Federation starship. you can, of course explore them later at your discretion commander. Shall we retire to my office?" (reply Bohb) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Main Engineering - aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 08:58) Bohb was never very good at engineering. He could solve many basic problems, but he did not have the patience to realign warp coils, or the desire to spend the time polarize the plasma phase inducers. That was definitely work more for the female of the Magillan species. Although he had been ridiculed on his homeworld for his interest in security duties, which was female work, he did not have the female patience that was required to perform most complex engineering tasks. So when he entered main engineering, a slight shudder went through the big Magillan, as he knew that he was truly out of his element here. He looked around for Lt. Wright. She seemed to be working on something when he saw her. He moved over to the Chief Engineer. "Lt. Wright," he said, "is this a good time?" (reply Wright) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades, Main Engineering, ATT Lt. Commander Zzt, 08:59) Zzt walked through the doors to Main Engineering a few minutes before 0900 PADD in paw ready to meet with the new FO and the CEO. Zzt wasn't exactly sure what the new FO wanted to talk about but Zzt was ready. As head of the ATT Department he really wasn't involved in the day-to-day running of the ship. He only got involved when requested by a member of the command staff or the CEO. Until that happened he was free to pursue his projects as he saw fit turning in regular reports to the 2O, FO and CO. Zzt moved up to the Master System Display table and quickly took in the current state of the ships systems. As a former CEO himself, Zzt was fully at home in Main Engineering. "Where Lt. Rit?" He asked the crewmen manning the MSD, as he bared his fangs in approximation of a smile. Zzt then lifted his snout into the air and fully took in the scents around him. His eye's grew wide as he caught the musty new scent of the new First Officer Lt. Commander Bohb as well as Lt. Wright's scent coming from the same general direction. Zzt turned and followed the scents soon seeing the two officers not far away. "Coomender Boob! Lt. Rit!" Zzt exclaimed merrily, spreading his massive arms wide. "How you dis mooning?" He patted both of them on top of the head with one massive paw. (Reply Wright, Bohb, Any) (Posted by Wes) (USS Hades, Observation Lounge, CEO Lt. Darla Wright, 0900) Darla had just finished her adjustments on the EPS phase discriminator for the opus Array in the lateral Sensor pallet when the doors to main engineering slid open with barely a sound. there standing in the doorway was a slightly uncomfortable looking acting first officer. She quickly dialed in the rest of the adjustments, finishing just in time to turn and face the commander as he approached her. "Lt. Wright," he said, "is this a good time?" "Certainly is, commander." She replied cheerily, "I just finished my recalibration. Care to join me in my office?" She led the way through the compartment, watching the reactions of the engineering crew as they  saw the commander for the first time. She was pleased that they weren't as all obvious about their surprise as they could be, after all they had all grown at least a little accustomed to working with commander Zzt. They had almost made it to her office when commander Zzt spotted them and headed their way. It was about the time that he reached her that Darla realized that her office wasn't going to be large enough for their meeting after all. She had conveniently forgotten that Zzt would be joining them. "Coomender Boob!  Lt. Rit!"  Zzt exclaimed merrily, spreading his massive arms wide.  "How you dis mooning?"  He patted both of them on top of the head with one massive paw.  "Well thank you commander Zzt." Darla replied with a still happy expression. "Although i just realized that I don't think we'll all be able to fit in my office." She frowned and gave the bay a quick look. "Although... I think we'd all be comfortable in the secondary relay controls compartment. There's a display station and plenty of room so we won't feel crowded." She gave Bohb a look. "Is that alright with you sir?" She asked, hoping that he'd agree. (reply Bohb, Zzt) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Science Department - aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 14:30) Bohb had much more vague as to the actual time that he would be arriving in the science department. Unlike engineering, Bohb loved science. There was just so much interesting ... stuff to learn about. He knew, though, that he did not have the patience to learn it himself. But he did try to keep up to date with useful science research. As he entered the department, he did not see Lt. Commander Zzt, and assumed that the Geratlian would not be joining them, or would come in later. he found his way to Bracken's office. the first thought in his head was that there were a lot of females in command positions on this ship. It did not particularly disturb him, but it was unusual for him. One of the immediate things he liked about Bracken was her size. She seemed tall, for the humans on this ship. Her size made him a bit more comfortable. he didn't feel that he would accidentally break her. It was a similar feeling he had with the captain. It helped him be more comfortable with them being in command. Bohb came to Bracken's office door and filled it. "Lt. Bracken, is this a good time?" (reply Bracken) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades- CSO’s Office – CSO/2O Bracken - 14:35) Dale looked up as the light from the corridor dimmed significantly, the doorway was filled by Commander Bohb, the new aFO. She’d been expecting his visit, although he hadn’t been specific about when, she’d had a lot of reports to read and compile, so it was almost a given that she’d be either here or on the bridge. “Lt. Bracken, is this a good time?" Dale stood up and smiled, her own height not reaching the FO’s 7 foot 4. She reached over her desk, offering her hand. “Anytime Commander, please” She motioned to the chair opposite, and stood up and moved over to the replicator, Tea? Coffee?...anything else?” (Reply Bohb) NRPG: I’m going to assume that he says yes here – if not I’ll repost. RPG: She picked up the drinks when they appeared, and passed Bohb his, before sitting down at her desk again, pushing a stack of PADDs aside, “Trouble with science, it creates so much stuff to read and learn.” (Reply Bohb) (posted by Mark)  (USS Hades- CSO"s Office - aFO- Lt. Commander Bohb- 14:36) "Anytime Commander, please." She the chair across from her even as she stood up to moved over to the replicator. "Tea? Coffee?...anything else?” she offered. Bohb sat down with sigh, "Actually a glass of ice water would be most sufficient, thannk you." Bracken brought his his water and handed to the FO, then returned to her seat behind her desk. She pushed a stack of PADDs aside, with a complaint. "Trouble with science, it creates so much stuff to read and learn." Bohb made an attempt to raise an eyebrow, but it never gave the intended result of curiosity. it just made what others often referred to as a comical look. "Really," he said, "I would have thought that was the best part, reading all of those interesting ideas of your staff. Or perhaps their projects are not all that interesting. Which is one of the reasons that I am here. Not to see of their projects are interesting, but to hear what projects are being worked on and how they are progressing. You don't have to go into too much detail, if you don't wish to, however, I do enjoy hearing about science projects." (reply Bracken) (posted by Al Muir) Mission: The Machinations of Erebos ----------------------------------------------------------------- Day: 3 Stardate: 2413.11.26 (USS Hades, Bridge, CO Captain Eva Straton, 16:45) They had started their patrol only a few hours and already they had spotted at least three Cardassian ships on long range sensors. Tactical and Science departments were currently working on trying to identify those three ships. Meanwhile the Hades continued her patrol. ~Where those three sensor hits the same ship or three different ships?~ Eva thought as she watched the Tactical and Science personnel conferring back and forth on the matter. Soon she turned her attention back to the main view screen confident that her crew would report something when they had something. They didn't need her breathing down their necks. They knew she wouldn't accept anything except success. Meanwhile the Hades closed in on the first of several uncharted and unmapped star systems that they needed to map for their mission. "Slow to impulse speed," Eva ordered, "Slow pass through the system, maintain cloak. Probe control to Science 1. Lt. Bracken any indications of a pre-warp civilizations?" (Reply Bracken) "Captain, we have a priority message coming in for you from Star Fleet Command," Ensign Serpal said suddenly from Operations. "Captain's Eyes Only." "I'll take it in my Ready Room," Eva replied, "Commander Bohb, you have the COMM continue the sweep through the system until ordered otherwise." She rose from the command chair looked at Bohb and nodded before turning and heading toward her Ready Room. (reply Bohb, Bracken, Tactical, Any) (Posted by Wes) (USS Hades, Bridge, CO Captain Eva Straton, 16:55) Eva stepped out of her Ready Room and back onto the Bridge after her brief conversation with the Admiral. She swept the Bridge once with a stern gaze. "Commander Bohb, Lt. Trinin, Lt. Wright, Lt. Bracken, and Lt. Trommashere will meet me in my Ready Room in 15 minutes," She announced with authority looking at each officer that was on the Bridge in turn. Her gaze coming back to Commander Bohb, she nodded indicating that he should inform those officers not on the Bridge of her summons. She then turned and walked back into her Ready Room. (Reply Bohb, Trinin, Wright, Bracken, Trommashere, Any) (NRPG: In order to move things ahead I am just jumping ahead and go to assume everyone makes it to the Ready Room on time,) (USS Hades, Ready Room, CO Captain Eva Straton, 17:10) When everyone had assembled and taken a seat, Eva got right down to business. "I've just received new orders from Admiral Sevant," she said from behind her desk. "Something is amiss on DS15 and the Admiral has tasked us with finding out what it is. He suspects the base commander to be an imposter, and possibly a Cardassian spy. At this point there is little concrete proof that would stand up in court, but anyone who knows Admiral Sevant would know he is not prone to flights of fancy or wild accusations. The Admiral has noticed several anomalies in his communications with the base over the last few weeks. The base commander is someone the Admiral knows well and he is convinced that the person he talked to just yesterday is an imposter. "Lt. Trinin, I will need your department to lead the investigation on confirming or refuting the admirals suspicions and just how deeply the bases security has been compromised. You may required medicals assistance in that regard. Until we have something concrete that we can take to JAG, I want to keep this entire operation on the down low. No one on the base can know what we are up to. I don't want to tip any potential spies off that we are off to them. "Lt. Wright, we need some type of technical difficulties that would warrant our going to DS15 to assist with repairs. Though I am loath to allow them access to our systems, we need to have a legitimate reason to be at the base. Your people and Lt. Trinin's will have to keep a close watch on anyone from the base working on our systems. "Lt. Trommashere you will be granted access to the base personnel medical records you or your staff may be called upon to verify the identity of them, or that they are not under the influence of some type of coercion. Lt. Bracken and the science department can assist in that department. Are there any questions or concerns?"
